One day they would live together, one day they would love each other. Up until that day he would have to make do with friendship.
So what if he'd gotten drunk. And almost lost consciousness. It wasn't like he did it on purpose or was proud with it. He couldn't believe he'd been so increadibly stupid. Now, to make it worse, the reason he was drinking, wanting to forget, was mad at him. That's not strictly true. He didn't want to forget the person so much as the person standing  in the way of their happiness.  Not that that was a good reason to loose consciousness or anything. The worst part about it was how the only way in which they could stay friend would be if he finally quit smoking and promised never to get drunk again. Like that was going to happen. They would be graduating soon and everyone who is anyone would get drunk. Especially him. He'd never really liked school anyways.
It just wasn't fair. Giving up the ciggs he could do that but not getting drunk, well maybe he could promise that if Ant promised him to dump his girlfriend and choose him instead. Yes, as sinful as it was to admit, declan donnelly was desperately, madly in love with Anthony Mcpartlin and their was nothing he could do about it. What's the point of being famous if you can't have the one thing you truly desire, although you can't be too mean about is as without the show, dec  would never have met Ant.
Dec had always known he was going far. He could sing better then Ant, he could kind of rap, being only slightly worse than Ant , he could dance better, had more fans and was the friendlier one of the two. Surely Ant would like him now.
This all happened about fifteen years ago. Now look at them. Ant was married, Dec had to finally face the facts that Ant was happy and got himself a girlfriend. As for the drinking? Well of course he had gotten drunk and a short while after dec had given up smokin, ant had started. So ant couldn't get cross when dec got drunk. In terms of success, Dec had slightly more money than Ant  owing to his slightly bigger role in enerji benji and byker grove being more successful than Ant's show. Of course, being married to Lisa, Ant had more money in the bank but Dec prided himself of being more successful, plus, whoever wins Ant V Dec  get's an extra thousand pounds. Although admittedly they always put this money towards the end of year party. Life was good. Well except for the fact that Dec had never truly gotten over Ant. He constantly found himself hoping, daydreaming that Ant would realise he loved him back. Pathetic, he knew but hey what can you do about it.
Life just has to suck it was like a law or something.
